Key Cave Map

Key Cave National Wildlife Refuge, shown here in green, is located in Lauderdale County near the city of Florence. It is part of the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge Complex and protects the habitat of the critically endangered Alabama cavefish. The cave is also an important habitat for gray bats and a number of underground-dwelling invertebrates.
