This sculpture of a teenage boy being attacked by the police and a dog was dedicated in May 1995 in Birmingham's Kelly Ingram Park to commemorate the civil rights movement in the city. The sculpture, by artist Ronald S. McDowell, depicts a scene from the Children's Crusade, an effort of the Birmingham Campaign of 1963.
