The Victorian-style Thomas Goode Jones House in Montgomery was originally constructed in 1855 as a one-story cottage and was expanded to include a second story and a rear addition in 1892. Gov. Thomas Goode Jones purchased the home in 1879 and lived in it for his entire life. His son, jurist, attorney, and state legislator Walter Burgwyn Jones, occupied the home until his death in 1966. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978; it now houses law offices.
