History Museum of Mobile

Built between 1855 and 1857 in the Italianate style, Mobile's City Hall and Southern Market complex comprised four buildings and covered two-thirds of the block between Royal and Church streets. It originally hosted the offices of the mayor and the city council in addition to other functions and has housed the History Museum of Mobile since 2001.
