Published in 1946, Jule was the second novel by Alabama-born author George Wylie Henderson. Based loosely on the experiences of Henderson, the main character, Jule, moves from Alabama to New York's Harlem neighborhood and becomes a printer. The novel echoes the experiences of many African Americans who moved to northern cities during the Great Migration.
