The Hardwick Tunnel in Odenville, St. Clair County is a popular local landmark. It is one of two tunnels (the other being Roper Tunnel near Trussville) built in 1903 by the Seaboard Air Line Railroad on their passenger-line route between Birmingham and the eastern seaboard.
