Gary Thomas Rowe Jr.

Gary Thomas Rowe Jr., center, attends a hearing in 1978, the year he was formally charged by Alabama attorney general Bill Baxley for the 1965 murder of civil rights worker Viola Liuzzo in Lowndes County. He was never convicted, because he was given immunity by the federal government as a paid informant.
