Francis Strother Lyon

Francis Strother Lyon (1800-1882) was a notable Alabama politician. He served in the U.S. Congress representing Alabama's Fifth Congressional District for two terms, served in the Confederate Congress during the Civil War, and drafted the 1875 Constitution. He owned historic Bluff Hall in Demopolis.
