First United Methodist Church, 1850s

In 1856, the congregation of First United Methodist Church of Montgomery moved to this newly constructed brick building, designed by architect Charles C. Ordeman. The building was renovated in the 1870s, including removal of the Greek columns and the addition of a steeple, and was demolished in 1931.
