First National Bank in Birmingham

First National Bank in Birmingham was created through the 1844 merger of the National Bank of Birmingham and the City Bank of Birmingham. The bank would evolve into what would become Amsouth Bancorporation, now a subsidiary of Regions Financial Corporation.
