Birmingham native Eddie Kendricks was the lead tenor for the internationally renowned R&B group The Temptations from 1961 to 1971. He then went on to a successful solo career. He was inducted as a member of the Temptations into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in 1999.
