Double-pen House in Chambers County

A two-pen or double-pen log house with half-dovetail corners, known as the Boyd House, near Sturkie in southern Chambers County. The structure was built in the late 1830s on land acquired from Creek Indian removal, indicating that it was an original European-Alabama settler's home.
