Dick Mixon Farm

The Dick Mixon Farm in Beaverton, Lamar County, was established in the late 1890s by Joseph Richard "Dick" Mixon, a local farmer and county commissioner. The original home was a dogtrot cabin that was later enclosed and expanded. The property includes a garage, shed, well house, outhouse, and chicken coop. It was listed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage in 2010.
