The Croom House in Mobile, Mobile County, to which Elizabeth Croom Bellamy (1837-1900) moved to live in 1877, was owned by her brother, the lawyer and Confederate Army veteran Stephens Croom. Bellamy and Mary Marshall Croom operated a school out of the home after Stephens's death in 1884.
