The Coosa County Courthouse is located in the county seat of Rockford and is the second building to serve that purpose, the first being a log structure. Originally built in 1858 by Patrick Coniff of Wetumpka, the building suffered a fire in 1925 and was remodeled extensively the following year and updated again in 1906. It was again remodeled extensively in 1970 to its current appearance.
