Montgomery native Cathryn "Toni" Tennille (1940- ) began singing with the Auburn Knights, Auburn University's big band and went on to a successful solo music career in addition to her Grammy Award-winning television and recording work with her husband, Daryl Dragon, as the duo Captain and Tennille.
