Bryozoan

Bryozoans, also called "moss animals" or "sea mats," have existed since the Ordovician period. They are a phylum of tiny aquatic organisms, much smaller than coral animals, which connect together in colonies resembling coral. Most Bryozoans are sea dwellers, but some species inhabit fresh water.
