Historian John Hall, dressed as naturalist William Bartram (1739-1823), gives a tour of the prairie on property owned by the University of West Alabama to members of the Alabama Historical Association. The land is part of the wider Black Belt Prairie Restoration Initiative of Alabama and Mississippi, which aims to restore the area to its natural landscape prior to European settlement.
