Bellingrath Gardens is a historic house museum and botanical gardens near Theodore, Mobile County, that was the former home of businessman Walter Bellingrath and his wife Bessie Mae. It is renowned for its spring display of azaleas and other seasonal flowering plants. The grounds encompass 65 acres and include a variety of themed gardens. The land had been part of an eighteenth-century plantation owned by French colonial officer Henrí Montault de Monbéraut de Saint-Çivier.
