Alva Smith Vanderbilt Belmont

Mobile native Alva Smith Vanderbilt Belmont (1853-1933) was a nationally and internationally renowned champion of women's right to vote. She used much of her great wealth to finance campaigns for ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment and to advocate for women's rights in nations across the world.
