Founded in 1976 and based in Huntsville, Madison County, the Alabama Filmmakers Co-op is a support organization that promotes and funds independent film-making in Alabama. It is now known as the Alabama Film Co-op and serves primarily as a film festival organizer based at the Flying Monkeys Arts Center.
