Chennault Circle is the heart of Air University, the professional military education institution located on the campus of Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery. The facility, formerly known as Academic Circle, was renamed for Maj. Gen. Claire Lee Chennault, a former Chief of Pursuit Aviation, in 1975.
