Talladega

Talladega County is famous for a type of rock and auto racing. The marble found in Sylacuaga is among the highest quality in the world, and the city celebrates its famous product with sculptures and an annual festival. The Talladega Superspeedway is one of the largest and fastest racetracks in the world. The nearby International Motorsports Hall of Fame and Museum preserves the history of stock-car racing.
