Fayette
Fayette County, in northwestern Alabama, is a named for Revolutionary War hero Marquis de Lafayette. Set at the juncture of the East Gulf Coastal Plan and the Cumberland Plateau, the county offers numerous recreational opportunities, notably in the Sipsey River wilderness.
