Pea River

The Pea River flows generally southwest in the southeast corner of the state. It begins in Bullock County, forms the border between Pike and Barbour Counties, flows through Coffee County, and enters Florida after curving to the east in Geneva County. It is one of the region’s top canoeing destinations. One of the last battles of the Second Creek War took place on the Pea River west of Louisville, Barbour County.
