Mahala A. Dickerson

Alabama native Mahala Ashley Dickerson (1912-2007) was the first African American woman to be admitted the bar associations of Alaska and Alabama. Her work focused on minority rights and poverty and labor issues. Dickerson's son Chris was an award-winning body builder.
