This postcard from 1990 advertised a performance of the Incident at Looney's Tavern in Double Springs, Winston County. The musical, written by Winston County native Lanny McAlister in 1986, dramatizes the events surrounding the Free State of Winston, an attempt by a faction of county residents to secede from both the United States and the Confederate States of America during the Civil War.
