Andrew Hudgins

Poet Andrew Hudgins spent a significant portion of his youth and early adulthood in Montgomery and considers it his hometown. His early work centers on the tensions in his views of Alabama, the Confederacy, and religion, with his book After the Lost War being told in the persona of Confederate soldier and poet Sidney Lanier, for whom Hudgins's high school was named.
