Albert Turner Sr.

Perry County native Albert Turner Sr. (1936-2000) was the field secretary for the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and deeply involved in the voting rights efforts in Alabama throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Shown here sitting on the floor at center, he is speaking with other attendees at Tabernacle Church in Selma.
