World-renowned singer Toni Tennille of the chart-topping duo The Captain and Tennille performs with the Auburn Knights around 1959. Tennille's father, Frank Tennille, was an early member of the band soon after its founding in 1930, playing banjo and contributing vocals. Toni performed as a vocalist with the band while she was a student at Auburn University in the late 1950s.
