Summerfield Methodist Church

Summerfield Methodist Church in Valley Grande, Dallas County, was organized around 1837. It was documented in the Historic American Buildings Survey of the Library of Congress in 1934 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 as a contributing property in Valley Grande's Summerfield Historic District. The district encompasses some 56 acres and contains 10 contributing properties in all, with the oldest being the Childers-Tate-Crow House, built in 1827.
