No. 10 Trestle, 1980s

The No. 10 Trestle, completed in 1904 by architect Joshua Lafayette Mitchell for the L & N Railroad, as it appeared in the 1980s. The bridge was a popular recreation spot after its retirement as a train trestle and was intended to be part of a "rails to trails" system in Jefferson County prior to its total loss in a fire in 2006.
