Battle of Tallushatchee

This 1953 illustration depicts Gen. John Coffee's attack on the Creek village of Tallushatchee on November 3, 1813, during the Creek War. Cherokee warriors played a significant role in the Creek defeat in the battle, in which 186 Creeks including women and children were killed.
