Pope's Tavern Museum in Florence, Lauderdale County, was established in 1960 to preserve and interpret the site of an important stagecoach stop and inn in the city. The building was constructed in the 1830s or 1840s on the site of a stagecoach stop that had been in use since the 1810s.
