Charles "Chief" Anderson

Charles "Chief" Anderson (1907-1996) was the lead instructor for the flight training program at the Kennedy Field of Tuskegee Insitute in Tuskegee, Macon County. He worked with the renowned Tuskegee Airmen and is known as "the Father of Black Aviation" for his many achievements in breaking the color barrier in the air.
