Charles "Chief" Anderson
(1907-1996) was the lead instructor for the civilian flight training program at Kennedy Field of
Tuskegee Institute
in
Tuskegee
,
Macon County
. He also worked with the
Tuskegee Flight Training Program
and the renowned
Tuskegee Airmen
and is known as "the Father of Black Aviation" for his many achievements in breaking the color barrier in the air.
