Clay Carroll

Clanton native Clay Carroll (1941- ) pitched in the major leagues from 1964-1978 with the Milwaukee Braves, the Cincinnati Reds, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Chicago White Sox. With the Reds, he started the seventh game of the 1975 World Series in which they defeated the Boston Red Sox to win the championship.
