Rosemount, Greene County

The Rosemount plantation house, built in the 1820s in the Forkland vicinity of Greene County, displays a pillared front and a rooftop observatory that resulted from the remodeling of an earlier residence. The T-shaped, two-story home also features a 60-foot central hallway, six bedrooms on the second floor, and a music room. The home was designed and built by Allen Glover, who also designed Bluff Hall in Demopolis, Marengo County. Grover built Rosemount for his son, William A. Glover.
