Audrey L. Gaston Graduation

Audrey Lattimore Gaston (1940-1989) was the first Black person to attend Samford University in Birmingham , admitted to the Cumberland School of Law in 1967. She earned her law degree in 1970 and went on to become the first woman appointed to the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Southeast.
