Braxton Bragg

Braxton Bragg (1817-1876) was a U.S. military officer whose successes in the Seminole and Mexican wars led to his promotion to general for the Confederacy during the Civil War. He led the Army of Tennessee from 1862-63, and was Confederate President Jefferson Davis's military advisor toward the end of the war.
