The Mulberry Fork of the Black Warrior River begins in Cullman County and flows northeast-southwest to enter Bankhead Lake reservoir in southern Walker County. It is the site of a section of the annual Alabama Cup river races held every spring, consisting of the Mulberry Fork Canoe and Kayak Races, the Locust Fork Invitational, and the Locust Fork Classic.
