Gorgas House Faculty Parlor

The lower floor of the Gorgas House served as a faculty residence from the 1840s until it was given to incoming president Josiah Gorgas and his family in 1878 to serve as their home. Shown here is the lower parlor documented in 1934 by the federal Historic American Buildings Survey.
