Alabama Voices

The Museum of Alabama, located at the Alabama Department of Archives and History in Montgomery, offers visitors an opportunity to explore the state's history and learn about its people. The museum's centerpiece exhibit space, "Alabama Voices," incorporates more than 800 artifacts, hundreds of images and documents, and 21 audiovisual programs to tell the state's stories from the 1700s to today. Another exhibit, "The First Alabamians," shares 14,000 years of Native American culture with a detailed diorama, expansive murals, and artifacts. The "Land of Alabama" section of the museum explores the state's geology and natural resources.
