This elasmosaur tooth, approximately two inches (five centimeters) long, was discovered in Greene County in 1990 and is part of the collections of the Alabama Museum of Natural History in Tuscaloosa. It exhibits the tapered, pointed form common to many marine predators that feed on fish.
