Colored Masonic Temple in Birmingham

The Colored Masonic Temple building in downtown Birmingham, Jefferson County, was built in 1922. The Renaissance-Revival style building was designed by architect Robert R. Taylor, who was Tuskegee University's main campus architect, and housed the Booker T. Washington Library (now Smithfield Library) for about 30 years.
