Diagram of Fort Mims

This diagram of Fort Mims was based on drawings found in the papers of Gen. Ferdinand L. Claiborne, who fought in the Creek War of 1813-14. The numbers were added in the modern period: 6, 19, and 26 are the locations of the gates and other portals through which the Red Sticks entered the fort. The rest of the numbers indicate locations of various settler homes and military buildings and fort features.
