Formerly AmSouth Center, the Regions Center in Birmingham is the corporate headquarters for Regions Financial Corporation. Built in 1972 as a shared headquarters for First National Bank and Southern Natural Gas Corporation, the 30-story building was long known by local residents as the AmSouth-Sonat Tower.
