(1899-1975) was an attorney and
civil rights
activist who represented
Rosa Parks
after her arrest for violating
Montgomery
's
segregated
public transportation laws. Durr and his wife,
Virginia Foster Durr
, were both deeply involved in civil rights and social reform movements.
