Rebecca Harding Davis

Rebecca Harding Davis (1831-1910) was an author, essayist, and journalist who wrote most often about issues of race and class. Her serial story "Here and There in the South" turns her writers eye to economic and social change in Reconstruction-era Alabama on the cusp of its evolution into the industrialized and urbanizing New South.
