John F. Knight Jr. (1945- ) is a politician who represented Montgomery‘s 77th District in the state legislature from 1993 to 2018. He led a 30-year legal campaign to revise state property tax laws to increase funding for education. The case, Knight v. State of Alabama has been rejected by all federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.
